K2 Leisure Centre

The K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley hosts a large range of sports activities and clubs. The main hall is also used at weekends for exhibitions, wedding fairs, and toy fairs.

Prices and Membership

Various levels of membership at the K2 Leisure Centre are available, covering different ages, groups and activities. Active Crawley Card

Holders of an Active Crawley Card qualify for reduced prices for some activities. The card costs £5 for adult residents of Crawley, and £10 for non-residents, with reductions for certain groups.

Climbing

Climbing tuition at the K2 Leisure Centre is by High Sports, which charges £10.50 for a day pass and an annual fee of £300 for juniors and £420 for adults. An instructor costs £35 for a one-hour session.

Sports Massage

Sports massage at the K2 Leisure Centre is provided by Bodycare Clinic, which charges £46 for a one-hour session.

Location, Directions and Parking

The K2 Leisure Centre is on the A23 at Pease Pottage Hill in Tilgate, between Thomas Bennett School and Tilgate Forest Recreation Centre, and opposite Broadfield Stadium.

Arriving by Car

From the south, follow the A23 towards Crawley. About one mile past Pease Pottage, get in the outside lane and turn right at the traffic lights. Watch out for the 50 mph limit as you approach the lights — there are sometimes speed traps.

From the north, follow the A23 through Crawley. Look for a roundabout containing a giant football, outside Broadfield Stadium. Go straight on. The K2 Leisure Centre is a couple of hundred yards along on the left.

From the M23, leave the motorway at junction 11, Pease Pottage. Get in the right-hand lane on the slip road, follow the roundabout all the way round and join the A23 heading towards Crawley. The K2 Leisure Centre is a little over one mile along on your right, at the first set of traffic lights.

Free car parking, including disabled bays close to the main entrance, is available but usually fills up early when the K2 Leisure Centre is hosting toy or wedding fairs. Other locations nearby are often used as overflow car parks, and will be signposted when in use.

Arriving by Bus

The number 2 bus between Tilgate, the town centre and Ifield visits the K2 Leisure Centre approximately every 15 minutes. The number 10 Fastway bus stops nearby, at Broadfield Stadium and on Southgate Avenue.

The Other K2

Climbing at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley, Sussex, is a lot cheaper and less dangerous than climbing the other K2.
